Email Notifications & Communicating with Influencers
Updated August 5, 2026
Automated Notifications
Influise can automatically email influencers when key events occur. Emails are sent via SendGrid — add your API key under Settings → Email Notifications.
Notification Events
- Tier unlocked — Sent when the influencer crosses a tier threshold during the month.
- Approaching tier — Sent when the influencer is within 20 conversions of the next tier.
- Payout approved — Sent when an admin approves the influencer's payout.
- Payment sent — Sent when a payout is marked as Paid.
Per-Influencer Preferences
Each notification type can be disabled per influencer under the Email Notifications section on their edit page. All notifications are enabled by default. The influencer must have an email address set to receive any notifications.
Customising Templates
Go to Communication in the sidebar to customise the subject line and body of each email template. Templates support variables in {{double braces}} — for example {{name}}, {{amount}}, {{month}}. Available variables are listed for each template. Customised templates are saved per brand; resetting returns them to the built-in defaults.
Broadcasts
Broadcasts let you send a custom email to your influencers in bulk — all at once, a hand-picked subset, or everyone in a specific campaign. Go to Communication → Broadcasts and click New Broadcast.
Audience Options
- All influencers — Every influencer with an email address on your account.
- Select influencers — Choose specific influencers from a list.
- All in campaign — Every influencer currently enrolled in a chosen campaign.
Scheduling
Toggle Send Now to deliver immediately, or switch to Schedule and pick a future date and time. Scheduled broadcasts appear with a blue Scheduled badge and can be cancelled before they send.
Influencer Experience
Broadcasts are delivered to the influencer's email inbox and also appear in the Messages tab of their portal. Unread messages are highlighted in bold; expanding a message marks it as read.
A SendGrid API key must be configured in Settings → Email Notifications. Broadcasts are available on Basic and Pro plans — the Free plan shows an upgrade prompt.
